What This Is All About

I've always been fascinated with old homes - growing up in Georgia you can't help but be aware of the history of the south.  Visiting old homes is one of my favorite things to do and I've found myself off the beaten path - what, a dirt road?  woah, no cell phone service! - enjoying finding old homes.  Learning the history of the families that have lived in these grand old houses brings them to life, it becomes a home with its unique personality.  I am not an expert on old homes.  I just enjoy visiting them and thinking of what all they have been through.   

Some homes have been restored far beyond their original glory, while others are  vestiges of former grandeur.
